A growing and well-established manufacturer of water treatment equipment is seeking a BDM to drive new business across the South of England. This is a home-based, field-focused role where you will be responsible for selling a range of water treatment solutions, including water softeners and reverse osmosis systems, into commercial and industrial markets. The role covers both capital equipment (CapEx) sales and ongoing service contracts, including new installations and taking over existing contracts from competitors.
With strong support from marketing and technical teams, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional to join a business with ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and secure new business opportunities across the South of England.
- Sell water treatment equipment including water softeners and reverse osmosis systems.
- Generate revenue through both new installations and service contracts.
- Identify and convert opportunities to take over existing service agreements from competitors.
- Build strong, long-term relationships across sectors including pharmaceutical, food & beverage, and industrial markets.
- Manage your own pipeline and diary effectively in a field-based role.
- Work closely with internal marketing and technical teams to maximise sales opportunities.
- Proven track record in business development within water treatment, engineering, or a related technical sector.
- Experience selling capital equipment, service contracts, or technical solutions.
- Strong hunter mentality with a proactive and driven approach to winning new business.
- Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Based within reach of Sevenoaks or the South East, with willingness to travel across the region.
- £40,000 - £45,000 basic salary
- Uncapped commission (3% on all sales) with realistic OTE of £65,000+
- £500k target with strong earning potential
- Additional 15% bonus + £3,000 incentive
- Company car and full benefits package
