My client is looking to recruit an ambitious Environmental Consultant to join their growing Land Quality team in London.
This is an outstanding opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting development and infrastructure projects, helping clients unlock complex brownfield sites while protecting the environment.
Working within a multidisciplinary team of environmental, planning and engineering specialists, you’ll play a key role in delivering contaminated land assessments from initial due diligence through to remediation and project completion.

The Opportunity
You’ll be involved in a diverse range of private and public sector projects, supporting major developments across residential, commercial, transport and infrastructure sectors.
This is a varied role where you’ll combine technical delivery, project management and client interaction, giving you the opportunity to build your career within one of the UK’s leading environmental consultancy teams.
- What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver contaminated land and brownfield assessments across a diverse project portfolio.
- Prepare Phase 1 Desk Studies and support Phase 2 Site Investigations.
- Manage ground investigations and liaise with specialist contractors.
- Produce high-quality technical reports, including Ground Conditions chapters for Environmental Statements.
- Support risk assessments, remediation strategies and verification reporting.
- Work closely with planners, engineers, geologists and environmental specialists on multidisciplinary projects.
- Manage project programmes, budgets and client communications.
- Assist with business development, tenders and technical proposals.
- Support and mentor junior members of the team.
About You

- Your Experience
- Phase 1 and Phase 2 Contaminated Land Assessments.
- Ground investigations and site supervision.
- Contaminated land risk assessment.
- Technical report writing.
- Brownfield redevelopment.

- Advantageous Experience
- Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessment (DQRA).
- Hydrogeology.
- Ground gas or vapour risk assessment.
- Waste classification and Do WCo P.
- Environmental permitting.
- Asbestos in soils.
- Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
- Remediation design and verification.
- You’ll Also Have
- A relevant environmental, geological or engineering degree.
- Membership of a relevant professional institution (or be working towards Chartership).
- Excellent communication and report‑writing skills.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and a passion for solving complex environmental challenges.
