Our client, a well-established multi-office law firm, is recruiting for an experienced Family Paralegal to join their Family department. Our client is committed to providing excellent customer service. If you’re an experienced Family Paralegal, our client would like to hear from you.
The Role:
- Provide full administrative and secretarial support to the fee earner
- Undertake certain elements of fee earning work under supervision
- File creation
- Using digital dictation system to produce correspondence related to family matters
- Meeting with clients, taking notes, completion of client questionnaires
- Diary management
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, courts
- Dealing with divorce, separation, co-habitation, finances, civil partnerships, childcare matters
- Preparation of trial bundles; knowledge of Bundledocs advantageous
- Drafting of petition/court documentation
- Attending routine directions/interlocutory hearings
The Candidate:
- At least 1 year’s family experience
- Legal Aid experience; competent with the use of CCMS is desirable
- Experience of HMCTs portal
- Experience in both care proceedings, divorce and finances, private children, family law matters
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent communication skills and a sympathetic ear
- Must be a team player
- Pleasant working environment
