Our client, one of the largest property developers in the UK, is looking for an experienced Conveyancer to join their in-house legal team on a fixed term contract. The purpose of the role is to manage the legal process of Residential Property transactions, primarily the sale of new-build homes and part exchange properties.
What you’ll do as a Conveyancer:
- Reporting to the company Solicitor heading the Plot Team.
- Managing and running plot sales, part exchanges and purchases for designated group companies.
- Ensuring that the caseload is managed and conducted efficiently to achieve exchanges within the required timescales.
- Preparing individual plot documentation and managing the transfer of the lease process to facilitate accurate and efficient legal completion.
- Dealing with part exchange transactions – title checking and reporting.
- Conducting title checks and reporting on part exchange transactions to identify risks and support informed decision making.
- Building relationships with purchasers' solicitors, the Group Legal Department, and regional operating companies.
- Attending meetings with the sales team to review caseload.
- Dealing with post completion matters such as SDLT returns and land registration where necessary.
