Our client based in Colchester, LEXCEL accredited, Legal 500 recommended practice with 17 Legal 500 recommended Lawyers, has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Assistant to join their expanding marketing department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for marketing who wants to start their marketing career. The company's marketing team plays a pivotal role in promoting the company's brand, services and solicitors.

As a Marketing Assistant, you will provide support to both the Marketing Manager and Marketing Executive. Duties will include:

  • Supporting the Marketing Team in executing campaigns and creating engaging content.
  • Contributing ideas, developing your skills, and making a meaningful impact on the company's projects as well as taking ownership of various projects.
  • Managing various schedules e.g. Business Development calendar, Social media calendar, Events calendar and related diary invites.
  • Assisting in the planning, creation, and execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Writing and editing content for the internal newsletter, social media, emails, and website.
  • Managing and updating the company’s social media platform and updating the website.
  • Organising and supporting with events, including liaising with suppliers and coordinating logistics.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, organised with a passion for marketing, possess excellent communication and writing skills, and have a creative mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Experience with Excel and SharePoint as well as social media platforms and basic design tools (e.g. Canva, InDesign or Adobe Creative Suite) is beneficial but not essential. Previous experience in a marketing or administrative role is also beneficial but not essential; full training for the right candidate will be provided.
