Our client, a multi-office law firm with a heritage spanning back over 130 years, has an excellent reputation for providing a first-class service to people and businesses throughout Essex. They are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Property Legal Secretary to join their office based in Maldon.
The Role
- You will provide secretarial support to the Head of Commercial Property
- Audio typing/digital dictation (Bighand)
- Diary management
- Dealing with incoming telephone calls, emails/post and general correspondence
- Opening client files, sending out client care letters
- Drafting legal documents
- Amending lengthy legal documents
- Track changes
- Applying for searches via the Land Registry
- Dealing with exchanges and completions
- Liaising with clients, Estate Agents, Solicitors and mortgage lenders
The candidate
- At least 1 year’s recent Commercial property legal secretarial/Legal Assistant experience; however, Residential Property experience will also be considered
- Accurate audio typing skills, including Digital dictation
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Excel
- Able to prioritise and multitask
- Excellent telephone manner
- Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, Free parking
- Friendly working environment
