Job Description
Conveyancer\\n\\nOur client is one of the UK’s leading house-builders, committed to the highest standards of design, construction and service. They build quickly and efficiently and expect a lot from their office and site teams, however in turn they will reward you for your commitment and hard work and recognise your contribution to the business. Due to continued growth our client now has an opportunity for an experienced Conveyancer to join their in-house property team.\\n\\nThe Role\\n\\n * Reporting to the company Solicitor heading the Plot Team\\n\\n * Direct responsibility for managing and running your own case load of plot sales (including part- exchange acquisitions and releases )\\n\\n * Ensuring that the caseload is managed and conducted efficiently to achieve exchanges within the required timescales\\n\\n * Preparing individual plot documentation and part exchange title reports\\n\\n * You will build relationships with purchaser’s solicitors, and the Group Legal Department and regional operating companies\\n\\n * Attending meetings with the sales team to review caseload\\n\\n * Dealing with post completion matters such as SDLT returns and land Registration where necessary\\n\\n * Advising and assisting on issues which arise during plot sales and part exchange transactions and where appropriate, dealing with plot sales and part exchange transactions\\n\\n * Dealing with lease/transfer variations and reversion sales\\n\\n * Dealing with the recovery of retentions (Non- litigious)\\n\\n * Handling post completion matters such as SDLT returns and Land Registration where necessary\\n\\n * Carrying our AML checks\\n\\nCandidate\\n\\n * You will be an experienced and motivated Conveyancer or Fee Earner able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of residential conveyancing, practice and procedure\\n\\n * Qualification through the Institute of Legal Executives, Council of Licensed Conveyancers or to at least degree level in law would be an advantage\\n\\n * Previous experience of handling plot sales for a residential house builder (either in house or in private practice) would be a distinct advantage\\n\\n * The successful candidate will be able to work with modern computer-based technology\\n\\n * You will be self-motivated, adaptable , have good team and communication skills\\n\\n * Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines\\n\\nCompany Benefits\\n\\n * Competitive salary\\n\\n * 21 day’s annual leave plus Bank Holiday’s, Plus 3 day’s given for Christmas closure\\n\\n * Company Bonus\\n\\n * Bupa\\n\\n * Share save scheme\\n\\n * Life Assurance\\n\\n * Hybrid working up to two days per week working from home after probation period\\n\\n * Onsite Parking\\n\\n * Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm\\n\\nApply Now\\n\\nIf you feel this is the right opportunity for you, please contact Julie Sheridan at JS Legal Recruitment Ltd quoting reference JSL2335 OR email now your cv or call for a confidential discussion.
