My client is looking for an additional professional, organised, and enthusiastic client-focused Legal Assistant to join their busy Dispute Resolution Team. You will play a key role in supporting solicitors with both secretarial and administrative tasks across a range of Litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering an exceptional client experience, enjoys building trusted relationships, and takes pride in supporting clients through often complex and sensitive disputes.

The Role

  • Support the day-to-day management and progression of dispute resolution matters
  • Provide support to the fee earner and wider Dispute Resolution teams
  • Opening new client files, conducting AML checks, preparing initial documentation, and closing files
  • Using a digital dictation system to produce correspondence related to Dispute Resolution / Litigation matters
  • Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
  • Assist with a range of contentious matters (e.g. Civil Disputes, Property Litigation, Contractual disputes, and other Litigation matters)
  • Support drafting of correspondence, witness statements, and court documents, prepare trial bundles, and assist with court and hearing preparation
  • Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, barristers, experts, and third parties to progress matters
  • Assist with billing processes, process payments, and disbursements

The Candidate

  • Experience in a legal support role, ideally within Dispute Resolution or Litigation
  • Accurate typing skills, including digital audio systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a willingness to learn legal software and case management systems
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and courteous manner
