Our client, a highly regarded law firm with a heritage spanning back over 50 years, has an excellent reputation for providing a first-class service to people and businesses throughout Essex. They are now recruiting for an experienced Residential Property Legal Secretary to join their Residential Conveyancing department based in Chelmsford.
The Role
- You will provide secretarial support within the Residential Property Team
- Audio typing / digital dictation (Bighand)
- Diary management
- Dealing with incoming telephone calls, emails/post, and general correspondence
- Opening client files, sending out client care letters
- Drafting legal documents
- Applying for searches via the Land Registry
- Dealing with exchanges and completions
- Liaising with clients, Estate Agents, Solicitors, and mortgage lenders
The candidate
- At least 1 year’s recent Residential Property Legal Secretarial/Legal Assistant experience
- Accurate audio typing skills, including Digital dictation
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Excel
- Able to prioritise and multitask
- Excellent telephone manner
- Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm
