JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting company in Nottingham to recruit a Workshop Technical Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering business operating within the power systems and industrial equipment sector. The role will involve overseeing the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring products are built, assembled and tested to the highest standards while leading a skilled team of engineers and technicians.

This position would suit someone with strong workshop leadership experience who understands mechanical and electrical assembly environments, quality control, and production efficiency.

Package:
  • £46,500 per annum

Requirements:
  • Managing the workshop team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the required quality standards
  • Monitoring processing times and overall build performance across workshop operations
  • Ensuring build quality and finished goods meet strict engineering and testing standards
  • Maintaining accurate parts lists and ensuring correct components are used during assembly and build processes
  • Overseeing testing procedures to ensure products are tested correctly and safely before leaving the workshop
  • Ensuring the team have the correct tools, equipment, materials and timeframes to complete work effectively
  • Supporting continuous improvement within the workshop to improve productivity and quality
  • Maintaining a well organised, safe and professional workshop environment
  • Working closely with other departments to ensure smooth operational flow and delivery of projects
