JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting manufacturing company to recruit an experienced Manual Machinist to join their established engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering long-term stability, excellent overtime opportunities, and the chance to work on a variety of precision-engineered components.
Package:
- £35,300 – £40,800 per annum (paid hourly)
- Rotating 3 Shift Pattern:
- Days: 6:00am – 2:00pm
- Lates: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- Nights: 8:45pm – 6:00am (4 nights per week)
- Overtime Available:
- 1.3x (time and a third) for the first 2 hours
- 1.5x (time and a half) on all hours worked above 39.5 per week

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience operating manual machining equipment within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience producing dimensionally accurate components to tight tolerances
- Competent using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges, and inspection equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to production deadlines
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach towards shift work and overtime requirements
- Good understanding of health & safety, environmental standards, and quality procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
