JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting precision engineering company to recruit an experienced CNC Turner – Setter / Operator / Programmer (Sliding Head). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established aerospace subcontract environment, working on high-spec components across a range of batch sizes.
Package: £46,500 – £50,500 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (4‑day week) Shift Pattern: 2:00pm – 12:00am
Position: Permanent position within a stable and growing business. Excellent long‑term job security and progression opportunities.
Requirements:
- Setting, operating and programming Sliding Head CNC machines (STAR preferred)
- Working with Fanuc controls
- Running multiple machines simultaneously to maximise output
- Producing components to tight tolerances for the aerospace subcontract sector
- Working from detailed engineering drawings and specifications
- Materials include Stainless Steel, Nimonics, Brass and Bronze
- Experience working on small to medium and higher volume batch sizes
- Carrying out in‑process inspection using standard measuring equipment
- Maintaining a high standard of quality and productivity at all times
- Working independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
