The Successful Trainee Sales Engineer - Package:

The Successful Trainee Sales Engineer - Role Duties:

  • Support the sales and quotations team with incoming customer enquiries
  • Assist with preparing quotations from engineering drawings and customer specifications
  • Liaise with production and engineering departments regarding manufacturing feasibility and lead times
  • Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings including tolerances and dimensions
  • Support customer communication throughout the enquiry and quotation process
  • Maintain CRM systems and quotation records accurately
  • Assist with Excel-based pricing, reporting and sales analysis
  • Support technical discussions regarding materials, manufacturing methods and project requirements
  • Develop knowledge of CNC machining and precision engineering processes

The Successful Trainee Sales Engineer - Requirements:

  • Relevant engineering qualification is essential
  • Strong interest in engineering, manufacturing and technical sales
  • Ability to read engineering drawings would be advantageous
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
  • Organised and detail‑oriented approach
