JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting company in Codnor, Derbyshire to recruit an experienced Fettler to join their skilled fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing company that supplies high-quality fabrications to the Nuclear, Defence, Sub-sea, and Process sectors.
Package & Benefits:
- £14.40 per hour
- Day shift – Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 4:30pm & Friday, 7:30am to 12:30am
- Overtime available, paid at 1.5x
- Permanent, full-time position

Key Responsibilities:
- Use hand tools and machinery to grind, deburr, and polish metal components to tight tolerances.
- Remove weld spatter from fabricated welds and assemblies.
- Ensure all work meets high quality control standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Collaborate with the team to improve production processes.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in fettling within a heavy fabrication environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Experience using forklifts and overhead cranes is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality and safety.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
