JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting engineering manufacturer in Liverpool to recruit an experienced CNC Turner – Setter, Operator, Programmer to join their Large CNC Turning Cell. You will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC lathes within the Large Turning Cell, machining shafts up to 3.2m in length from a variety of steel grades, including exotic materials. The role involves producing complex components on advanced CNC lathes with live tooling, programmable steadies, and full C & Y axis capability, working from detailed engineering drawings in a high-spec subcontract environment. The Successful CNC Turner – Setter, Operator, Programmer – Package: * Β£17.26 – Β£18.45 per hour (Approx. Β£35,000 – Β£37,500 basic) * Overtime available – potential earnings Β£45,000 – Β£48,000 * 39 hours per week + overtime (subject to availability) * Single Days Shift: * Mon – Thurs: 07:30 – 16:30 * Fri: 07:30 – 12:30 * Company bonus scheme* * 25 days holiday at average pay + 8 Bank Holidays * Contributory pension scheme * Training & development opportunities * Corporate workwear provided * Flexible working options ** The Successful CNC Turner – Requirements: * NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering / Machining * Strong experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes * Proficient with Fanuc controls * Ability to work from complex engineering drawings * Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Systems * Experience machining exotic materials (e.g. Super Duplex, Duplex, Inconel 718, X750, Hastelloy, Monel) * Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar CNC turning role * Strong planning and organisational skills * Clear and effective communication skills * High attention to detail and quality Apply now!
