JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting aerospace precision engineering company in Leicester to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner – Setter / Operator to join their night shift team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded precision manufacturer supplying complex, tight-tolerance components to the aerospace and defence sectors, operating within a clean, well-invested machining environment.
The Successful CNC Turner – Setter / Operator – Package:
- Salary: £53,564.16 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance)
- Shift Pattern: 46.4 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday
- 18:00 – 06:00
- Permanent, full-time
- Stability: Excellent long-term career security within a global aerospace precision engineering group
The Successful CNC Turner – Setter / Operator – Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in aerospace or automotive precision machining
- Apprentice trained or equivalent hands-on engineering background
- Confident setting and operating CNC turning centres, specifically Mazak lathes
- Strong understanding of datum setting, tooling offsets, and cutting parameters
- Ability to read, edit, and control CNC programs in line with company procedures
- Experienced working to tight tolerances and producing right-first-time components
- Competent using inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers, height gauges, CMMs, and shadow graphs
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy
- Positive, team-focused attitude with the ability to work to structured production plans
- Experience carrying out TPM / basic machine maintenance is desirable
