JRS Associates have partnered up with an established engineering company in Pinxton to help recruit a CNC Miller - Setter / Operator on a full-time, permanent basis. The business operates in a modern facility with a strong order book and a growing team – they’re now open to offering higher pay for the right level of quality and experience.

Package:

  • Pay: £15.50 per hour (£30,225 per annum)
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday–Thursday: 08:00–16:30
  • Friday: 08:00–13:30
  • Free on-site parking

Duties:

  • Setting and operating CNC milling machines – HAAS DT1, HAAS DM2, and XYZ 1510/1020 (Siemens 828D)
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and production specs
  • Setting datums using edge finders, Renishaw probe, or 3D taster
  • Conducting in-process inspections using Verniers, Micrometers, etc.
  • Making offsets and minor edits as needed (no full programming required)
  • Keeping accurate production records and maintaining a clean working area
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance (filters, coolants, etc.)

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced CNC milling setter/operator (minimum 1–2 years)
  • Able to read and work to engineering drawings confidently
  • Skilled with standard measurement tools (Verniers, Micrometers)
  • Familiarity with HAAS or Siemens-based controls preferred
  • Able to work independently and safely with minimal supervision
