JR PAT Testing is growing rapidly across the UK and we are looking for experienced PAT Engineers who own the necessary equipment and insurance. If you are self‑employed or eager to become self‑employed, we want to hear from you. Our onboarding includes a friendly conversation, a technician handbook, a contract for services, branded clothing, labels and technical support. All engineers must have insurance and have their equipment calibrated at least once a year.
We are expanding our PAT and Compliance team in Swansea and offer flexible self‑employed positions. The role includes pro‑rated earnings based on test rates, number of appliances tested and job dynamics. Projects range from one‑day to long‑term contracts.
The successful candidate will:
- Travel to various sites such as hospitals, retail outlets and offices.
- Use PAT test equipment to assess appliances (microwaves, kettles, computers, etc.).
- Provide users with test results and safety recommendations.
- Record findings in a dedicated PAT test report or electronic system.
- Complete completion certificates, checklists and any required paperwork.
- Maintain equipment to ensure it is up to date and compliant with regulations.
