Job Opportunity

JR PAT Testing is a rapidly growing PAT and compliance company across the UK. We are looking for experienced PAT Engineers based in Penzance or from commutable areas who have their own insurance and calibrated equipment.

  • Employment Type: Self‑employed, flexible hours (part‑time or full‑time)
  • Education: City & Guilds 2377 or equivalent PAT qualification
  • Experience Required: Proven competence aligned with the City & Guilds standard
  • Location: Penzance and commutable regions – reasonable commuting distance required
  • Compensation: Pro‑rated earnings discussed post‑booking of each job

Responsibilities

As a PAT Engineer you will:

  • Travel to various sites (hospitals, retail outlets, offices) and perform portable appliance testing using approved instruments
  • Record findings in a PAT test report or electronic system and provide employers with copies and completion certificates
  • Inform users of test results and advise on any required repairs or replacements
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment annually and ensure all tools meet regulatory standards
  • Manage your own transportation and equipment, keeping it in good working order
  • Work independently or as part of a team, staying organized to complete all tests accurately and efficiently
