JR PAT Testing is rapidly expanding across the UK and is looking for experienced, self‑employed PAT Engineers with their own insurance and calibrated equipment.
We offer flexible, self‑employed positions that allow you to work part‑time or full‑time. All engagements are based in South Kensington or commute‑eligible areas, although our national reach means you can work across the country.
Responsibilities- Travel to sites: Deliver to a variety of locations such as hospitals, retail outlets and other premises.
- Conduct PAT tests: Inspect appliances (e.g., microwaves, kettles, computers) using appropriate test instruments to confirm safety.
- Record findings: Log results in dedicated PAT test report books or electronic systems and provide employers with copies.
- Complete paperwork: Fill out completion certificates, checklists and any other required documentation.
- Communicate outcomes: Inform users of test results and explain any necessary actions for unfit appliances.
- Maintain equipment: Keep all tools and devices calibrated and in good working order, complying with relevant regulations.
