JR PAT Testing is a rapidly growing PAT and Compliance company across the UK looking for PAT Engineers at self‑employed, flexible‑hour positions based in Snaresbrook. Roles allow part‑time or full‑time work.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct portable appliance testing on a variety of appliances (microwaves, kettles, computers, etc.).
  • Record and report test findings through paper or electronic systems.
  • Inform users of results and explain why appliances may need replacement or repair.
  • Complete any required paperwork such as completion certificates and checklists.
  • Transport equipment, keep tools in good working order and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Travel to sites across the region, staying organised and ensuring accurate, efficient testing.

Qualifications

  • Self‑employed and possess own insurance.
  • Equipment calibrated at least once a year.
  • City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated competence in line with the City & Guilds standard.
  • Reliable, honest, and a ‘can‑do’ attitude.
