JR PAT Testing is expanding across the UK and is looking for experienced PAT Engineers to join our team in North Acton. These are self‑employed, flexible‑hour positions that can be part‑time or full‑time.
Responsibilities
- Conduct portable appliance testing (PAT) for a variety of locations including hospitals, retail outlets, offices and contractors.
- Use testing instruments to verify the safety of electrical appliances such as microwaves, kettles, computers and other items.
- Inform users of test results and advise on repairs or replacements as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of test results in paper logbooks or electronic systems.
- Complete required paperwork (certificates, checklists, reports) and deliver copies to employers.
- Keep all testing equipment, measuring devices and supporting tools calibrated, updated and compliant with regulations.
- Travel to client sites, sometimes within a larger national scope, while maintaining efficient time management.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent.
- At least one year of proven competence aligned with C&G standards.
- Self‑employed status with own insurance and valid equipment.
- Reliable, honest, with a can‑do attitude.
- Ability to transport personal vehicle or have means to reach the job site.
