JR PAT Testing is seeking experienced and self‑employed PAT engineers to support a growing client portfolio across the UK. The role offers flexible hours and the possibility to work part‑time or full‑time, with earnings based on a pro‑rated payment model per appliance tested.
Responsibilities
- Perform portable appliance testing (PAT) across a range of client sites, including hospitals, retail outlets, offices, and other commercial premises.
- Operate testing equipment, record results and produce detailed reports, either in paper or electronic format.
- Provide customers with clear explanations of test outcomes and advise on repair, replacement or further action required.
- Maintain a personal inventory of calibrated equipment and ensure all tools are up‑to‑date and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Travel to client sites using your own transport, manage schedules, and deliver services efficiently.
- Adhere to the company’s safety protocols and maintain a professional and courteous demeanour at all times.
