JR PAT Testing, a rapidly growing PAT and Compliance Company, is looking for experienced PAT Engineers to join our team in Mill Hill East, England. These positions are self‑employed with flexible hours, allowing full‑time or part‑time work.
As a Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) Engineer you will travel to a variety of sites, including hospitals, retail outlets and offices, to conduct safety testing on electrical appliances. Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing and maintaining testing equipment and record books.
- Conducting PAT tests on appliances such as microwaves, kettles, computers and other electrical devices.
- Recording test results in official reports and providing completion certificates or checklists.
- Communicating test outcomes to users and explaining any required repairs or replacements.
- Ensuring all tests are completed accurately, efficiently and in compliance with regulations.
- Traveling to and from sites in your own vehicle or with company support.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent.
- Own insurance and up‑to‑date, calibrated testing equipment.
- Reliability, honesty and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
- Trouble‑free transport to occupational sites within a reasonable commuting distance of Mill Hill East.
Remuneration
Earnings are pro‑rata based on the rate per appliance, the number of tests and job duration. All financial terms are negotiated per job.
