JR PAT Testing is an expanding PAT and Compliance Company looking for self‑employed PAT Engineers in Harrow. Positions offer flexible hours and can be part‑time or full‑time. Self‑employed engineers must own their own insurance and have equipment calibrated at least once a year. We provide an engineer handbook, contract for services, branded clothing, labels, and technical support.
Responsibilities
- Travel to a variety of sites (hospitals, retail outlets, offices) to conduct portable appliance testing.
- Use testing instruments to inspect appliances such as microwaves, kettles, computers, ensuring electrical safety.
- Record and report findings using a dedicated PAT test report book or electronic system.
- Provide completion certificates and checklists to employers.
- Inform users of results and recommend repairs or replacements when required.
- Maintain testing equipment, ensuring all instruments are up‑to‑date and comply with regulations.
- Stay organised and manage time effectively while moving between locations.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or an equivalent.
- Own testing equipment and valid insurance.
- Ability to travel to the Harrow area and beyond nationally.
