JR PAT Testing is expanding rapidly across the UK and is looking for experienced PAT Engineers in the Haringey area. The role is self‑employed, offers flexible hours, and allows part‑time or full‑time engagement. All engineers must have their own insurance and calibrated equipment and must be able to travel from Haringey or a reasonable commuting distance. The company provides an engineer handbook, contract for services, branded clothing, labels and technical support.
Responsibilities
- Travel to client sites – hospitals, retail outlets, offices, etc. – to conduct portable appliance testing.
- Use test instruments to assess appliances such as microwaves, kettles and computers for safety and compliance.
- Inform users of results and explain any remedial actions required.
- Record findings on paper or electronic test‑report systems and provide completion certificates and checklists to employers.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure all tests are completed efficiently.
Requirements
