JR PAT Testing is an expanding PAT and Compliance Company looking for self‑employed PAT Engineers to join our team in Hanwell. Flexible hours allow part‑time or full‑time work. Candidates must be able to commute from Hanwell or within reasonable distance and are expected to travel nationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to sites (hospitals, retail outlets, offices, etc.) to conduct Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on a variety of electrical equipment.
- Operate and maintain testing instruments, record books, and electronic reporting systems.
- Complete and hand over test reports, completion certificates and checklists to employers.
- Communicate results to users, explaining any required actions (repairs, replacements).
- Ensure all tests are carried out accurately, safely, and in compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Employment Type: Self‑employed contract.
- Education Level: City & Guilds 2377 (PAT qualification) or an equivalent.
- Experience: Proven competence in line with the cited City & Guilds standard.
- Equipment: Own calibrated testing equipment and insurance (minimum calibration once a year).
- Location: Able to travel from Hanwell or within reasonable commuting distance; must be able to travel nationally.
