JR PAT Testing is rapidly expanding across the UK and is looking for experienced PAT Engineers. The positions are self‑employed and require you to have your own insurance, calibrated equipment and a City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Testing appliances such as microwaves, kettles, computers and other electrical equipment for safety.
  • Recording results and preparing test reports, certificates and checklists.
  • Informing users of findings and explaining if an appliance is unfit for use.
  • Maintaining equipment and ensuring it meets relevant regulations.
  • Traveling to sites across Embankment and the surrounding area, and nationally if willing.
  • Managing transport and equipment each day, arriving on time and completing tests efficiently.

Qualifications

  • City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven competence in line with the City & Guilds standard.
  • Reliability, honesty and a can‑do attitude.
  • Own transport and sufficient equipment for PAT testing.
  • Self‑employed status with valid insurance.
