About the Role

JR PAT Testing is growing across the UK and is looking for experienced PAT Engineers to work as self‑employed contractors. The role is based in Chalfont & Latimer, with the flexibility to work part‑time or full‑time and to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

  • Perform portable appliance testing on a range of electrical equipment at client sites.
  • Record test results, prepare reports and completion certificates.
  • Inform and advise users on safety and potential repairs.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing instruments at least once a year.

Qualifications

  • City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent.
  • Self‑employed status with own insurance and equipment.
  • Reputable transport and reasonable commuting distance from Chalfont & Latimer or willingness to travel nationally.
  • Reliability, honesty and a “can‑do” attitude.
