JR PAT Testing is growing rapidly across the UK and we are looking for experienced PAT Engineers with their own equipment and insurance. If you are self‑employed or wish to become self‑employed, we would like to hear from you. All our engineers must have their own insurance and have their equipment calibrated at least once a year. In return, we provide an engineer handbook, contract for services, branded clothing, labels, and technical support.

Job Description
We offer flexible hours and support both part‑time and full‑time work. This role is based in Brent but we require you to be within a reasonable commuting distance. You will be paid on a pro‑rate basis depending on the rate per appliance, the number of tests, and job dynamics. Jobs range from one‑day projects to long‑term contracts.
Typical Day
A PAT engineer starts each day by packing all necessary tools and equipment into the van. On site, they test appliances such as microwaves, kettles, computers and other electrical items, ensuring they meet safety standards. They inform users of the results and explain any replacements or repairs needed. After testing, findings are recorded in dedicated PAT test reports or an electronic system, and completion certificates and checklists are filled out. Engineers must stay organised, travel between sites, and maintain accurate and efficient test completion.
Qualifications
Reliable, honest, and possessing a 'can‑do' attitude. Must have transport and necessary equipment, including testing instruments and measuring devices, all up‑to‑date and compliant with regulations.
