JR PAT Testing is rapidly expanding across the UK and is looking for experienced PAT Engineers to join our team in Burnt Oak or other commutable areas. The role is self-employed, offering flexible hours and the opportunity to work part-time or full-time.
Responsibilities
- Carry out portable appliance testing (PAT) across a variety of sites, including hospitals, retail outlets and offices.
- Use testing instruments to determine the safety of electrical appliances such as microwaves, kettles, and computers.
- Inform users of test results, explain whether appliances are fit for use, and recommend repair or replacement if necessary.
- Record findings in a PAT test report book or electronic system and provide employers with copies.
- Complete additional paperwork such as completion certificates and checklists.
- Maintain and calibrate all testing equipment on an annual basis.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Holding a City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or an equivalent.
- Demonstrated competence aligned with the City & Guilds standard.
- Own personal insurance and calibrated testing equipment.
- Reliable and honest with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
