JR PAT Testing is growing rapidly across the UK and we are looking for experienced PAT Engineers to join our team in Littlehampton. The role is self‑employed, with flexible hours allowing part‑time or full‑time work. All engineers must have their own insurance and keep their equipment calibrated at least once a year. In return, we supply an engineer handbook, a contract of service, branded clothing, labels and technical support.

Responsibilities

  • Test a wide range of appliances (microwaves, kettles, computers, etc.) using calibrated test instruments.
  • Identify and document any safety issues and advise on repairs or replacement.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports and completion certificates to employers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including electronic and paper logs.
  • Travel to various sites across the country, working either alone or as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Self‑employed with current liability insurance.
  • Valid City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated competence in line with the C&G standard.
  • Reliable, honest and with a ‘can‑do’ attitude.
  • Ability to manage own transport and equipment, ensuring devices are up‑to‑date and meet relevant regulations.
