All our engineers must have their own insurance and have their equipment calibrated at least once a year.

JR PAT Testing is an expanding PAT and Compliance Company looking for engineers to join our team in Cullompton. We offer self‑employed positions with flexible hours, allowing you to work part‑time or full‑time. Jobs range from one‑day projects to long‑term contracts, giving you a varied working schedule.
Responsibilities include:
- Travel to client sites to perform Portable Appliance Testing on a variety of equipment such as microwaves, kettles, computers and other electrical appliances.
- Use appropriate test instruments to verify safety, record results and prepare test reports.
- Provide clear explanations of findings to clients and recommend remedial actions where necessary.
- Maintain all testing equipment in good working order, ensuring calibration and compliance with regulations.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including completion certificates and checklists, and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications and expectations:
- Valid transport and reliable means to travel to job sites.
- City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent.
- Reliability, honesty, and a proactive, ‘can‑do’ attitude.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively across multiple locations.
