Job Summary
JR PAT Testing, a growing PAT and compliance company in the UK, is looking for experienced PAT Engineers based in the Croydon area or within reasonable commute distance. Positions are self‑employed, allowing flexible hours for part‑time or full‑time work.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) across a range of work environments such as hospitals and retail outlets.
- Operate testing instruments, record results in PAT test reports or electronic systems, and issue completion certificates.
- Advise users on safety findings and recommend repair or replacement where required.
- Maintain all testing equipment and related tools, ensuring they are calibrated and meet relevant regulations.
- Travel to client sites independently, manage time efficiently, and keep accurate documentation of work.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent.
- Relevant workplace experience; proven competence in line with the City & Guilds standard.
- Own insurance and access to necessary testing equipment.
- Reliable and honest with a can‑do attitude.
- Good organisational skills and ability to work independently.
