  • Provide users with clear explanations of test outcomes and recommendations.
  • Record findings in PAT test report books or electronic systems, and supply employers with copies or certificates.
  • Complete any required paperwork, such as completion certificates and checklists.
  • Maintain organization, accuracy, and efficiency while moving between sites.

Typical Day

Each day begins with packing all necessary tools and equipment into your van. You then travel to the first job, perform PAT testing, document results, and communicate findings to the site’s staff. Throughout the day you stay mobile—sometimes alone, sometimes with a small team—continuously ensuring tests are completed safely and according to regulations.
