Group Plant manager – NW London Reporting directly into the MD, this is a No1 role for a growing business (£100m plus), split across various divisions that include Formwork/RC, Groundworks, Demo, fit out and Build. You must have a proven background and pedigree of identifying areas for improvement and delivering necessary change within an established work environment. This individual must have strong health & safety knowledge also, provide leadership and be responsible for overall delivery of large & small plant, equipment, formwork and falsework. The Plant manager will be fully responsible for the primary yard along with existing overflow yards. Main responsibilities: * Provide leadership & resources to ensure that all products & services supplied by the plant yard are at highest possible levels. * Responsible for safe working practices are adhered to at all times * Identifying trends with a view to improving efficiencies and achieving continuous improvement targets. * Liase effectively with other departments and ensure operations satisfactorily completed and also promoting good working relationships to maximise performance. * Working knowledge of relevant safety legislations * Assess & inspect all returning equipment. * Assess all plant for compliance prior to sending to sites. * Maintain the yard * Line management responsibility for all yard personnel including fitters, controllers etc. Essential skills & experience: You will need to be well versed in maintenance of construction plant and equipment, such as heavy & light plant, formwork & falsework. You will be adaptable and flexible by nature, demonstrating a willingness to work in a hands on capacity to support all areas of the plant department and lead by example. You will be an excellent communicator with a keen eye for detail and able to meet deadlines
