Job Summary: The Plant Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the deployment, maintenance, and utilization of construction equipment and machinery on construction sites. They play a vital role in ensuring that construction projects run smoothly and efficiently by managing equipment resources effectively. Key Responsibilities: Internal plant certification for plant ensure they are kept within expiry dates. Enter certification onto the hilti system & issue to sites. Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all construction equipment. Arrange for routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of equipment to ensure their safe and efficient operation. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment condition. Raise purchase orders from suppliers for supplies for materials and stock items for the Yard. Raise purchase orders from suppliers for fitters’ requests for parts for plant. Maintain relationships with equipment suppliers, rental companies, and service providers. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors. Evaluate the performance of suppliers and recommend changes when necessary. Run monthly internal cost reports and issue to sites. Monitor vans movements & add to internal cost report. Monitor equipment-related expenses, including fuel, maintenance, and repairs. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend cost-effective solutions. Processes POD’S Scan & File Monitor PPE stock & add onto Hilti monthly cost report. Deal with any H&S Issues with the Yard. Issue H&S Toolbox Talks. First Aider & report, Log any accidents or Incidents to H&S. Prepare & deal with Yearly, Monthly H&S Audits for the Yard. Monitoring & logging defects for Plant & issue reports to fitter to attend sites. Issue weekly reports with daily defect sheets for plant monitoring. Maintain an accurate inventory of all construction equipment and machinery. Track equipment usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs. Maintain accurate records of equipment documentation, including manuals, warranties, and service history. Generate reports on equipment utilization, maintenance, and costs for management review. Develop and implement contingency plans for equipment breakdowns and emergencies. Coordinate rapid response and repairs to minimize project delays
