We have an exciting new position for a hire controller/plant administrator from a construction, plant or similar background to join a leading construction company. This is an excellent opportunity for an administrator looking for a long-term career whilst developing their skill set as this role will play a key part in the company’s operations within a busy and fast paced department.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Deal with internal hire enquiries, orders and collections.
- Liaising with the yard team and sites to ensure maximising utilisation of owned plant and equipment before placing orders with external suppliers.
- Engage with supply chain to satisfy requests not supplied from internal stock.
- Continuously review live hire reports to ensure internal plant system is always up to date.
- Process off hire requests, ensuring suppliers collect the equipment within the agreed time frames and accurately updating the internal hire system.
- General administration.
Skills and Qualities:
- Previous experience within construction, plant & tool hire is required.
- Excellent communication and IT skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to set deadlines and prioritise tasks along with a confident and flexible attitude.
- Self-motivated and open to change.
