Location: Borehamwood, North London

Overview: The purpose of this role is to provide training, assessing and internal verification capacity to the JRL Training Centre. We are accredited to NPORS for plant qualifications and assessments, to CITB for Site Safety Plus course delivery and to SQA for plant and management NVQs. This role is suitable for a positive and approachable individual looking to gain experience in a busy and friendly environment, who will be proactive, professional and innovative.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Internal verification of construction NVQs from L2 to L7.
  • Assessment of construction NVQs in supervision, site and contracts management as well as senior leadership.
  • Delivery of internal as well as accredited short courses in a range of subject areas.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ L7 Construction Senior Management (essential).
  • L4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice or equivalent (IQA) (essential).
  • L3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or equivalent (essential).
  • L3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent (essential).
  • SMSTS (desirable).
  • Temporary Works Coordinator (desirable).

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of working in construction (essential).
  • Experience of training course design in a range of media (desirable).
  • Experience in site management, H&S and construction trades (desirable).
  • Experience in teaching Site Safety Plus courses (desirable).
  • Experience in assessing plant categories (desirable).
  • Excellent skills in MS Office applications (essential).
  • Strong analytical skills (desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
