London Concrete Pumping is a leading provider of concrete pumping solutions across London and the South East. We are looking to recruit a skilled Plant Fitter / Engineer with strong experience in concrete, asphalt and quarry plant equipment to support our growing operation.

The Role

As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of a wide range of plant and pumping equipment, ensuring maximum reliability and minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing concrete pumps, mixers, batching plant, quarry and asphalt-related equipment
  • Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults
  • Carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs
  • Ensuring all machinery complies with company standards and health & safety regulations
  • Completing job reports and maintenance records accurately
  • Supporting equipment preparation and testing before site deployment
  • Occasional travel to sites across London and surrounding areas as required

About You

We’re looking for a capable and reliable engineer who can work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proven experience as a Plant Fitter / Plant Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of concrete, asphalt or quarry plant equipment
  • Mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills
  • Relevant engineering qualifications or time-served apprenticeship
  • Proactive, safety-focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience with concrete pumps or heavy mobile plant
  • Electrical diagnostic experience
  • Welding and fabrication skills
