JRL Group's East Midlands offsite manufacturing facilities, conveniently located adjacent to the A1 in Carlton on Trent, between Retford and Newark.

Location: Carlton-on-Trent (Conveniently located adjacent to the A1 between Newark and Retford)

Position: Permanent / Full-Time

Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Core hours with some flexibility)

Salary: Competitive (Negotiable based on experience)

McMullen Facades / JRL Group are seeking an experienced and organized Transport Manager to oversee all logistics, distribution, and yard movements at our East Midlands offsite manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Goods In / Goods Out: Manage the absolute efficiency of all incoming raw materials and outbound finished architectural components.
  • Logistics & Bookings: Coordinate delivery schedules, haulage bookings, and site distributions to align with factory production lines.
  • Cost Tracking & Budgeting: Take full accountability for transport expenditure, analyzing shipping costs, and identifying cost-saving efficiencies.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all transport operations comply with vehicle safety, driver hours, and yard health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Transport Manager, Logistics Manager, or Senior Coordinator within construction, manufacturing, or heavy haulage.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience tracking logistics costs and managing budgets.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage hauliers, yard staff, and project managers.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
