An exciting opportunity has arisen within one of JRL Group's key divisions; Trent Precast Concrete Ltd. The JRL Group is a highly successful, privately owned, national construction group headquartered in North London. With a turnover of in excess of £360m, the business is currently experiencing growth and as such seeks to strengthen our Precast team. Trent Precast specializes in the manufacture and delivery of structural precast concrete units based in the heart of the country in Nottingham.

We are currently looking for Powder Coating Operatives to join the team.

Working Hours: 6:00am – 4:00pm or 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

This is a permanent, weekly paid PAYE position, available to start immediately.

Requirements:

  • Previous spraying experience (either paint or powder coating)
  • Experience with GEMA powder coating systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of automated coating lines (advantageous)
  • Understanding of quality testing procedures (e.g. powder thickness, gloss levels)
  • Ability to work to high-quality standards (e.g. Qualicoat or similar)

Duties Include:

  • Preparing metal components (cleaning, masking, pre-treatment)
  • Applying powder coatings using manual and/or automated equipment
  • Ensuring coatings meet required quality standards (e.g. thickness, adhesion, finish)
  • Carrying out quality checks throughout the process
  • Monitoring curing oven settings and cycles
  • Managing colour changeovers efficiently
  • Identifying and resolving coating defects
  • Working to production targets and schedules
  • Maintaining a clean and organised workspace (5S & H&S standards)
