JRL Group's East Midlands offsite manufacturing facilities, conveniently located adjacent to the A1 in Carlton on Trent, between Retford and Newark. We are seeking a highly skilled Plumber to support our busy Bathroom POD and Utility Cupboard production lines. Step away from the tools and into a leadership role. This role focuses on scaling manufacturing quality through training, benchmark setting, and technical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Line Support: Resolve real-time plumbing and technical assembly challenges on the production floor.
- Benchmark Building: Create, validate, and document first-off benchmark for production.
- Team Training: Upskill assembly operators on standard plumbing techniques and quality expectations.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with engineering to optimize pipework layouts and assembly methods.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect completed POD/PUC units against technical drawings and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent recognized trade qualification.
- Experience: Proven track record in commercial plumbing, mechanical assembly, or modular manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: Reading technical drawings, copper/plastic pipework fabrication, soldering, and crimping systems.
- Soft Skills: Clear communication style suitable for coaching and training frontline staff.
- Mindset: Strong analytical approach to diagnosing and fixing mechanical production bottlenecks.
