About the Role
JRL Modular is recruiting for a Materials Controller to join our team. This is a dynamic, split role—you will be spending your day managing our stock inventory systems in the office and working physically on the shop floor to keep our production lines moving.
Key Responsibilities
- System Management: Keep our COINS stock database fully up to date by processing Goods Received Notes (GRNs) daily.
- Inventory Control: Conduct regular physical stock takes and perpetual counts to ensure system accuracy.
- Investigate Variances: Identify any stock errors, find out why they happened, and write up detailed variance reports.
- Protect Production: Proactively cross-check stock levels against upcoming production schedules to stop material shortages before they cause downtime.
- Supplier Chasing: Actively communicate with suppliers to make sure our deliveries are arriving on schedule.
What We Need From You
- Experience: Previous background in a Materials Control, Technical Stores, or Inventory Planning role (Manufacturing or Construction experience is a massive plus).
- Skills: A solid understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and standard stock control procedures.
- IT Literacy: Proficient with MS Excel and computerised stock systems (if you know COINS or SAP, that’s an instant advantage).
- Mindset: Highly organised, attentive to numerical data, and proactive with a 'can-do' approach.
