The Role
We are looking for a hands‑on Production Operative to join our Leeds team. You will be responsible for building high‑quality unitised facades, windows, and doors. This is a technical role that requires a sharp eye for detail and the ability to work from specifications to ensure every product meets our safety and quality standards.
The Hours (Standard Factory Shift)
Mon – Thu: 07:30 – 17:30, Friday: 07:30 – 14:30
What you’ll be doing:
- Fabrication & Assembly: Building unitised and stick curtain walling, roof‑lights, and doors. This includes bonding panels, flashings, and factory glazing.
- Machinery Operation: Safely using workshop gear such as overhead cranes, saws, grinders, crimpers, and drills.
- Quality Control: Reading technical drawings and inspecting your own work to catch errors before they reach the customer.
- Pre‑Production: Assisting with taping, kitting, and issuing materials/accessories when needed.
- Dispatch Prep: Packing finished products and completing the necessary quality paperwork.
- Site Standards: Keeping your station clean (5S) and ensuring all equipment is checked and safe to use.
What we’re looking for:
- Technical Ability: You are comfortable working with your hands and have experience with workshop machinery.
- Eye for Detail: You can spot errors quickly on an assembly line and interpret technical reports/drawings.
- Team Player: You work well with others but are also reliable enough to manage your own workload without constant supervision.
- Problem Solver: You have solid troubleshooting skills to figure out why a production issue is happening and how to fix it.
