A state-of-the-art manufacturing facility based near Newark and conveniently located adjacent to the A1. Hours are 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday, and 7:30am to 2:30pm on Friday. This is a permanent role with weekly pay, and pay will be discussed.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced CNC Team Leader to join our facade and cladding manufacturing team. You will operate CNC machining centres and saws specialising in the preparation of steel profiles for the manufacture of facades and cladding. You will also safely produce quality machined profiles and components as per engineering drawings and within budget and schedule.
What You Will Do
- Produce machined steel profiles and components accurately from engineering drawings
- Set up, edit and operate CNC machinery including machining centres and saws
- Read, understand, verify and adjust CNC programming to ensure conformity and quality
- Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance; record machine accuracy and performance metrics
- Complete all quality documentation and maintain full traceability
- Plan and prioritise work to meet production schedules and deadlines
- Work closely with CNC programmers and fabricators to resolve issues and improve workflow
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area; lead by example on housekeeping and standards
- Encourage and support team members to follow procedures and quality requirements
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience operating, setting and leading CNC machinery — ideally machining centres and saws
- Strong ability to read engineering drawings and verify CNC programs
- Knowledge of steel fabrication and architectural cladding or similar manufacturing environments is advantageous
- Good understanding of quality standards, inspection methods and machine maintenance
- Natural team leader — able to guide, support and motivate colleagues
- Reliable, safety-conscious and proud of producing high-quality work
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across the production team
