Part of the JRL Group, McMullen Façades is a leading unitised specialist façade contractor providing full design, fabrication and installation of unitised panels for medium and large scale building projects. Due to expansion, we are seeking a Buyer to join our team.
About the Role
Reporting directly into the Head of Procurement, the Buyer will assist the team with procurement of materials, both locally and internationally, for a variety of trades involved in major commercial and residential schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure materials within budgets and on time to progress works on site.
- Produce monthly budgetary control reports on all materials purchased for each site.
- Schedule materials and complete requisitions.
- Ensure all materials are purchased on time, to specification and at the best price available.
- Resolve disputes and account queries between suppliers and the company.
Qualifications
- Ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Ability to contribute positively to a team and be self-motivated, working on own initiative.
- Able to accept criticism and work well under pressure.
- Able to carry out basic tasks on a computer and Excel.
- Ensure all documentation meets formal requirements and required standards.
- Sort, store and retrieve electronic and hard copy documents on behalf of the team.
