Primarily based in Luton for the Castle Street Project, with travel to developments across the JRL Group portfolio as required.

The successful candidate will be expected to travel to sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays where necessary (hotel accommodation provided by the company).

Travel between developments will form part of the role, and occasional overnight stays may be required. Hotel accommodation will be provided by the company where necessary.

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and qualified Level 1 Air Tester to join the team and undertake airtightness testing across JRL Group developments.

The role involves independently carrying out air permeability testing on residential and mixed-use developments, ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and project specifications.

Whilst the role will initially be focused on the Castle Street project in Luton, the successful candidate will be expected to support projects across the wider JRL Group portfolio where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently carry out air permeability (airtightness) testing in accordance with ATTMA standards.
  • Set up and operate air testing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare properties for testing, including sealing ventilation openings where required.
  • Analyse test results and ensure compliance with Building Regulations and project specifications.
  • Complete accurate testing reports and submit documentation within required timescales.
  • Liaise professionally with site management, subcontractors and internal project teams.
  • Manage daily testing schedules across multiple developments.
  • Ensure all testing equipment is maintained, calibrated and stored correctly.
  • Promote safe working practices and comply with company Health & Safety procedures.
  • Represent the company professionally whilst working on JRL Group sites.

Essential

Requirements

  • Level 1 Air Tightness Tester qualification (minimum requirement).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Own vehicle with the ability to travel regularly between sites.
  • Good understanding of ATTMA testing procedures and Building Regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office and completing digital reports.

Desirable

  • Previous experience testing residential developments.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
  • Knowledge of SAP assessments or wider building performance testing.
  • CSCS card
