Midgard are looking for an experienced Storeman for our project at Bargate Quarter, Southampton, SO14. This contract is available to start immediately and we can offer up to 12 months work. The project is a new build of apartments in Central Southampton, project value £100m.
JOB DUTIES
- Storeman to work for Main Contractor on new build apartments.
- Must have a good knowledge of construction materials and plant.
- Control Materials In / Out of the Stores.
- Issue materials to Contractors from the Stores using a formal Issue Procedure.
- Check site stored materials weekly and report on stock levels and any storage issues to Midgard Management.
- Maintain neat, tidy and legible Stock Records and issue weekly to Midgard Management.
- Identify when material stocks need to be replenished in good time.
- Keep the stores tidy and organised.
- Accept and check deliveries. Report any issues to Midgard Management immediately.
- Collect & sign delivery documentation. Issue to Midgard Management weekly.
HOURS & PAY
- Up to 12 months Work.
- 08:00am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday (1hr lunch break) 10hrs paid per day.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a storeman on construction projects.
- Good knowledge of construction materials.
- Must have a Valid CSCS.
- PPE Required.
- Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and written.
- Valid Work Permit / Right to Work in UK.
