JRL Group / Trent Precast are looking for experienced Shuttering / Mould Joiners to work within our Precast factory in Skelmersdale. This contract is available to start as soon as possible straight after the Christmas break.

Purpose of the role
To construct, assemble, maintain and repair shuttering and moulds used in the manufacture of precast concrete components, ensuring all moulds meet drawing specifications, quality standards and production requirements.

Working hours
7:00am β 5:00pm Monday to Friday (1hr lunch break) 9hrs paid per day Weekly PAYE
Job Duties
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications for precast components.
- Build, assemble and dismantle shuttering and moulds using timber, steel and formwork systems.
- Set out moulds accurately to required dimensions, tolerances and finishes.
- Install cast-in items such as rebates, block-outs, chamfers, fixings and lifting anchors.
- Adjust and repair moulds to ensure repeated use and consistent quality.
- Ensure moulds are clean, square, sealed and prepared for casting.
- Work closely with steel fixers and precast operatives to ensure reinforcement fits correctly within moulds.
- Carry out quality checks prior to concrete pours.
- Follow all health & safety procedures within the manufacturing facility.
- Support continuous improvement of mould designs and production efficiency.
Must be capable of reading drawings and setting moulds out.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a shuttering carpenter
- Must have a Valid CSCS Card
- Valid Work Permit / Right to Work in UK
